About the role

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for performing basic to advanced maintenance, new equipment installations, and troubleshooting actions either in the shop or field. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.

Responsibilities

  • Executes the commissioning and decommissioning of multiplex pump skids and components at oil and gas well sites for use on Jet Pump artificial lift, Salt Water Disposal (SWD) Systems, and other facilities.
  • Performs repairs and troubleshoot multiplex pumps and its auxiliary components for operation, including electric motor and their variable speed drives (VSD), safety switches, flow meters, various valves, lubrication, and sump pumps.
  • Completes preventative maintenance on the above equipment at regular intervals.
  • Timely and accurately write up service tickets for the customers to review and be invoiced.
  • Develops good working relationships with customers through professional communication. Respond to customer calls and assist with technical questions.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and service multiplex pumps, commonly known as Triplex's and Quintuplex's.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and service Jet Pump systems used for artificial lift in the oil and gas industry.
  • Responds to customer calls and assist with technical questions.
  • Participates with on-call rotation for the facility, as required by the business.
  • Maintains a clean and well-organized work area and company truck.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a field service mechanic troubleshooting and repairing multiplex pumps and jet pump artificial lift systems.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands

  • The role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is required to occasionally walk-in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
  • The employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
  • The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
  • Work normally is executed at customer field locations in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.
  • Some work is accomplished indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • Work may include visits to customer offices or field locations.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of downhole pumps and completions.
  • Working knowledge of multi-cylinder engines.
  • I&E (Instrumentation & Electrical) and Automation experience.
