About the role The Field Service Technician I will troubleshoot and repair LINET and non-LINET products in hospital and healthcare facilities, assist with installations, and document repairs. Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high level of customer service and interact professionally with customers.
  • Complete repair work for electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems repairs as per established service standards and training.
  • Assist with installations and perform routine preventative maintenance as per service contracts.
  • Document repairs accurately, including evaluations, service forms, descriptions of bed function failures, and how they were remedied.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on beds, stretchers, OBTs, and other accessory items.
  • Understand product functionality and benefits, and stay current on LINET products through ongoing education.
  • Adhere to LINET Safety Procedures during maintenance, repairs, installations, and other directed work.
  • Wear personal protective equipment and utilize LINET-provided equipment.
  • Complete service van maintenance, tool inventory, and part checks before and after shifts.
  • Occasionally perform duties in the warehouse.
  • Attend to regular and timely attendance, including nights, weekends, and on-call hours.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years related experience and/or training
  • Advanced electro-mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in driving C-size trucks
  • Valid driver's license, able to be insured under company policy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Language Skills Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, or members of the business or at-large community. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and offer appropriate solutions. Physical Demands Regularly required to talk and hear; sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting and moving up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to drive in inclement weather. Work Environment Works in hospital environments where biohazards could be present. Travel This position requires travel of 5% up to 80% for field service, delivery, installation of beds, and occasional sales support and trade shows.
