Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform major mechanical engine repairs.
• Overhaul engines as needed.
• Perform transmission repairs up to and including rebuilds if necessary.
• Rebuild driveline components such as undercarriage.
• Show strong understanding of various truck types and perform complex repairs and modifications.
• Mastery of complicated electrical and hydraulic systems and ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Build and retrofit hydraulic systems for different equipment.
• Plan and execute major fabrication projects like water systems and custom field use equipment.
• Use fabrication skills to design and build products for field use without templates.
• Install and configure electrical systems including emergency shutdowns and new controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization, or combination of schooling and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in heavy equipment and/or automotive.
• Valid Driver’s License meeting work location requirements.
• CDL (type dependent on work location).
• Crane Inspector Certification as needed by location.
• At least 8 ASE Certifications in on-road or combination of other formal training.

• Leadership training preferred.
• Ability to obtain and utilize certifications as needed.

Additional Notes

• Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day.
• The ability to travel frequently and work varied hours including overtime as needed.
