Field Service Technician
Primary Responsibilities
- Maximize equipment uptime by responding quickly and completing effective, efficient repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper functioning of copiers, printers, and related devices.
- Diagnose technical issues using customer feedback, electronic data, and observations.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through clear communication and dependable service.
- Partner with clients, sales teams, and internal staff to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
- Accurately complete service documentation, including parts usage, call closures, and meter readings.
- Provide feedback to improve processes and support continuous improvement efforts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- 3+ years of industry experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
- Prior experience servicing office equipment such as copiers and printers preferred; Xerox, Ricoh, Kyocera, or HP experience a plus.
- An associate degree or higher in electronics or electrical engineering is preferred, equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of networking and computer systems.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must meet company vehicle eligibility requirements).
