Responsibilities
- Assign work to on-site employees and monitor completion to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.
- Maintain and troubleshoot artificial lift equipment in the field.
- Pull and inspect electric submersible pump (ESP) equipment and diagnose problems, recommending appropriate action.
- Assemble and install ESP submersible and wellhead equipment, performing and supervising subsequent installation of tubing and cable.
- Diagnose and recommend solutions for surface problems, including electrical issues, sand production, gas-locking pumps, and insufficient fluid production.
- Set operating parameters on surface controller to ensure operations within product liability range.
- Install, maintain, and repair horizontal pumping solutions and controllers of various manufacturers.
- Check system design to ensure adequate horsepower, correct cable size, sufficient casing clearance, and correctly sized motor controller.
- Provide customer with written reports, equipment identification, inventory control, and invoicing.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Previous oilfield / ESP field experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills are required to operate computerized test equipment.
- Basic knowledge of principles of electricity is required.
