Field Service Technician
About the role
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will travel within the greater area of their specified market to ensure the patient simulators are working properly by performing preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install and perform maintenance on patient simulators at different medical-related customer sites such as Hospitals and Universities.
- Provide hands-on training and support to professionals and students using the simulators.
- Ensure the simulators are functioning correctly by conducting regular checks and repairs.
- Travel within the specified market, driving up to 5 hours each day, with travel expenses covered by the client.
- Participate in a 13-week training program that includes classroom training and field shadowing.
Requirements
- Base-level IT knowledge (experience is preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP addressing)
- Must be well-versed with Windows 11
- MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO TRAVEL MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
- Good electronics aptitude is a huge plus
- Strong customer service skills (this is key)
- Ideal for recent graduates; difficult to do this role while attending classes or having other weekly commitments
- Reliable form of transportation
Qualifications
- You will be required to take an IKM assessment to qualify (Very similar to a CompTIA A+ assessment)
Additional Information
- The simulators run on a Windows 11 operating system and are connected to the client’s network.
- There is a 13-week, 100% paid training with Monday–Friday travel.
- The company pays for all travel expenses.
- Mileage reimbursed for anything over 30 miles (mile 31+).
- Installation and maintenance of patient simulators are automatically on the clock after the first hour of travel (driving or flying).
- No “cookie-cutter” candidate — qualifications are based on skills and situation.
- Wide variety of experience levels considered (entry-level to expert).
- Anything worked under 5 hours is automatically paid as 5 hours.
- Anything worked over 5.5 hours is automatically paid as 8 hours.
Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
