Field Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team. This position provides technical support to employees across the organization while helping maintain computer systems, software, network connectivity, and technology equipment in a manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, helping others, and gaining hands-on experience with enterprise technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Set up workstations, monitors, printers, scanners, and other technology equipment
• Provide technical support to end users in person, by phone, and through remote support tools
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, and network connectivity issues
• Assist employees with Microsoft Office and other business applications
• Create and maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions
• Assist with antivirus, endpoint protection, and software updates
• Connect users to network resources and provide basic training on company systems
• Document support requests, resolutions, and work instructions
• Coordinate with the IT Manager and external vendors on technology projects
• Assist with purchasing and inventory management of IT equipment and supplies
• Escalate complex technical issues as needed
• Support technology initiatives across multiple locations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to providing quality support

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
• Ability to regularly walk and work throughout a manufacturing facility
• Comfortable spending time on the production floor interacting with employees
• Periodically travel to other locations

Pay

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
