Field Service Technician

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician installs, commissions, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and optimizes industrial cooling, HVAC, and power generation equipment. As the Company's frontline technical representative, this role delivers exceptional customer service while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation.

• Support Health Assessments and TotalCare service agreements through inspections and performance monitoring
• Conduct vibration analysis, leak detection, pressure testing, thermal profiling, and operational testing
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak repairs in accordance with EPA regulations
• Support glycol removal, flushing, winterization/de-winterization, coil replacement, heat exchanger repairs, cooling tower maintenance, and piping modifications
• Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and OEM documentation
• Complete electronic service reports and communicate findings to customers

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial HVAC, cooling, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance
• Commission new equipment and verify proper system performance
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, piping, hydraulic, controls, and instrumentation issues
• Support TotalCare service agreements through inspections and performance monitoring
• Conduct vibration analysis, leak detection, pressure testing, thermal profiling, and operational testing
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak repairs in accordance with EPA regulations
• Support glycol removal, flushing, winterization/de-winterization, coil replacement, heat exchanger repairs, cooling tower maintenance, and piping modifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical school, military technical training, or associate degree preferred
• 3 - 5 years of industrial field service, maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting experience
• Experience with large industrial HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, refrigeration, or power generation equipment
• Knowledge of industrial safety, LOTO, confined space, and safe work practices
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
• TWIC (or ability to obtain)
• Valid driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain)
