Field Service Technician

About the role

A Field Service Technician is needed for driving to client sites in the Greater Central Valley for new start-ups, preventative maintenance, and customer support of automated sorting machines. Occasional travel to other Western states may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites in the Greater Central Valley for new start-ups, preventative maintenance, and customer support of automated sorting machines.
• Occasionally travel to other Western states for work, including overnight stays.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Field Service Technician.
• Frequent physical demands: standing, bending, stooping, crawling, climbing ladders, working in elevated places.
• Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, up to 40 lbs.
• Valid drivers license and clean DMV record.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with electrical power circuits, PLC circuits, and digital and analog circuits.
• Testing of new equipment installs.
• Reading schematics and using test equipment such as voltmeters.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and configurations.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in person.
• Fluent in Spanish and English-preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college or equivalent in an electronics-based curriculum.

Skills

• Customer service focused mindset.
• Travels frequently to client sites and other Western states.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and testing new equipment.
• Knowledgeable in computer hardware and configurations.
• Effective communication skills.

Pay

The pay rate is between $26 and $32 per hour, DOE.

Schedule

The schedule is 9/80. Work hours are from 7am to 5pm, every other Friday off.
