About the role
As a Field Service Technician on our Nelson Stud Welding commercial team, you’ll work on-site to support our regional rental fleet and customer equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair the regional rental fleet, including stud welding systems, power sources, and field diesel vehicles.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair customer equipment.
- Assist customers in person and via telephone with equipment, accessory, and technical problems.
- Assist sales representatives in person and via telephone with equipment, accessory, and technical problems.
- Perform in-house demonstrations for customers.
- Weld samples for sales representatives and customers.
- Serve as a boiler outage service technician as required.
- Perform cycle counts as directed.
- Handle shipping and receiving responsibilities when required.
- Complete company deliveries to various customer/warehouse locations as needed.
- Occasionally perform general building maintenance.
Requirements
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, area, circumference, and volume.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $55,100.00 - $88,700.00 annually. The salary offered may vary based on job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and local wage requirements. Eligible for annual merit increases.
