About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Technician with expertise in industrial systems and machinery to join our team. This role is critical in providing on-site support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for our industrial clients, ensuring that machinery and equipment operate efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities

  • On-Site Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Provide hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for a wide range of industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, HVAC systems, conveyors, and other machinery.

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Emergency Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency at customer sites.

  • Diagnose Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Issues: Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify faults in industrial systems and machinery. Perform repairs or replacements as necessary.

  • Install New Machinery or Equipment: Install new machinery or equipment as per client specifications, ensuring correct setup and calibration.

  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues on-site to restore full functionality. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to troubleshoot and perform repairs or installations.

  • Customer Interaction & Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during service visits, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction. Communicate technical issues, repair plans, and recommendations to customers in a clear and concise manner. Provide training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of industrial equipment.

  • Maintain Strong Customer Relationships: Provide timely, efficient, and courteous service. Maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and courteous service.

  • Preventive Maintenance & System Upgrades: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance visits to ensure the longevity and proper functioning of equipment. Recommend system upgrades, replacements, or modifications to improve efficiency or meet evolving client needs.

  • Monitor and Record Performance: Monitor and record the performance of systems during visits and suggest optimizations or improvements. Track service activities, parts inventory, and equipment condition in company databases or service management software.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate service reports for each job, detailing the work performed, parts replaced, and any recommendations for further action. Document time worked, travel expenses, and other administrative tasks required for billing and reporting purposes.

  • Inventory & Equipment Management: Ensure that service vehicles are stocked with necessary tools, parts, and equipment to complete a wide range of service calls. Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and order supplies as needed to ensure minimal downtime. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including performing regular checks and servicing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, combined with a minimum of 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and vibration analyzers.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or industrial technology, is preferred.

  • Experience with industrial machinery and equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, HVAC systems, conveyors, and other machinery.

  • Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

  • Experience with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in diverse environments and under tight deadlines.

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
