Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will thrive in an industry that values mechanical expertise, problem-solving, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment on-site.
- Communicate clearly with customers about equipment condition, needed repairs, and costs.
- Perform safety inspections to ensure equipment meets all standards.
- Cook up daily schedules with the Field Service Advisor and dispatch team.
- Complete electronic work orders accurately using company-issued tablets.
- Perform quality checks to ensure every job is completed right the first time.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on customer equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with material handling, heavy industrial, auto, truck, or military equipment.
- A clean driving record.
- Your own set of mechanical tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- You take pride in delivering excellent customer service.
- You communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
