Job Responsibilities
- Interfaces with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems.
- Handles installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action.
- Makes technical presentations.
- Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
- Provides technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.
- Acts as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience as an Air Force Mechanic with a focus on engine maintenance and production processes.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret needed to start.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Public speaking skills and the ability to deliver presentations to groups.
- Experience with maintenance data collection systems.
- The motivation and ability to research directives, regulations and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues and concerns.
- A commitment to customer service and proactive in implementing policy as well as identifying and solving problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and have the ability to learn company software.
Physical Requirements
- Dexterity in fingers in both hands.
- Able to pick up and carry 70 lbs. for a distance of 50 feet.
- Able to withstand exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.
Travel and Shift Requirements
- Candidate will be required to travel up to 25% worldwide.
- Candidate will be working a rotating shift.
