Field Service Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Interfaces with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems.
• Handles installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action.
• Makes technical presentations and demonstrates strong knowledge of products.
• Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
• Provides technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.
• Acts as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience as an Air Force Mechanic with a focus on engine maintenance and production processes.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret clearance needed to start.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Public speaking skills and the ability to deliver presentations to groups.
• Experience with maintenance data collection systems.
• The motivation and ability to research directives, regulations, and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues, and concerns.
• A commitment to customer service and the ability to implement policy and identify/solve problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn company software.

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity in fingers in both hands.
• Ability to pick up and carry 70 lbs. for a distance of 50 feet.
• Able to withstand exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.

Travel and Shift Requirements

• Required to travel up to 25% worldwide.
• Working a rotating shift.
