Job Responsibilities
- Interfaces with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems.
- Handles installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action.
- Makes technical presentations and demonstrates strong knowledge of products.
- Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
- Provides technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.
- Acts as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience as an Air Force Mechanic with a focus on engine maintenance and production processes.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret clearance needed to start.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Public speaking skills and the ability to deliver presentations to groups.
- Experience with maintenance data collection systems.
- The motivation and ability to research directives, regulations, and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues, and concerns.
- A commitment to customer service and the ability to implement policy and identify/solve problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn company software.
Physical Requirements
- Dexterity in fingers in both hands.
- Ability to pick up and carry 70 lbs. for a distance of 50 feet.
- Able to withstand exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.
Travel and Shift Requirements
- Required to travel up to 25% worldwide.
- Working a rotating shift.
