About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This position involves interacting and operating advanced robotic welding systems, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The ideal candidate should have technical skills, hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems, and a passion for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Interact and operate a state-of-the-art multi-robotic welding system
  • Load, monitor, and inspect welded assemblies
  • Accurately manage inventory of parts and completed assemblies
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automation equipment/cells
  • Record data as required by engineers for issue resolution
  • Carefully monitor cell performance and part fitup
  • Operate specialized machines integrated with customer operations
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, electrical schematics, and blueprints
  • Service and maintain pneumatic systems, welding equipment, robotics, and electrical automation devices
  • Integrate a sophisticated autonomous welding cell into a customer's manufacturing process
  • Learn Forge processes in detail and operate the cell from command prompts and code changes
  • Interface with customers to ensure equipment operates efficiently
  • Coordinate with engineering resources to troubleshoot issues
  • Inspect, clean, and replace electrical and mechanical components
  • Be adaptable to changing needs and requirements

Requirements

  • Technical training/Trade School certification/Associate degree in Engineering Tech/BS Engineering or related industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in design, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical systems (preferably manufacturing equipment specific)
  • Some welding experience (no certifications necessary)
  • Experience within fabrication or machine shop
  • Comfortable with learning some programming languages
  • Detail-oriented and experienced with small and fragile components
  • Passionate about the field and enjoy collaborative environments
  • Eager to learn and grow in your field

Qualifications
