Field Service Technician

Job Summary

Pe Labellers is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their Service team. This is a remote position servicing West Coast customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers throughout the life of a machine.
• Identify and advise on problems associated with the operation of Federal equipment.
• Offer innovative solutions to improve efficiency and economy of customer operations.
• Train customers' operators and technicians on set-up, operation, change-over, and maintenance of systems.
• Ensure customers have the necessary parts to repair ongoing issues and maintain adequate stock of spare components.
• Prepare and submit detailed trip reports for the customer and company.
• Provide technical assistance to customers over the phone and via remote connection.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in related technical field (mechanical and electrical) or 6 years related/equivalent experience in the packaging industry.
• 3+ years in custom machine manufacturing or mechanical repair/maintenance.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical/electrical technical applications, specifically PLCs, servo-driven motors, and controls.
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering designs, including wiring schematics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and independent judgment.
• Able to travel 85% of the time and work overtime as required.
• Able to work independently, maintain a positive attitude, and work well with all levels of management and operators.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $15.50 - $42.00/hour

Total compensation includes your pay, potential short-term incentive opportunities, and benefits.

Placement within our salary range is determined based upon years of directly relatable experience for your position.
