Responsibilities
- Cook up tools, materials, and equipment for the jobsite to keep projects running smoothly and on schedule.
- Work closely with customers and subcontractors on-site, representing our company with professionalism and strong communication.
- Complete required safety processes, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) prior to any work.
- Conduct welding inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting based on company procedures and project needs.
- Provide the project manager with daily updates on progress, challenges, and any changes that may impact scope or timeline.
- Help manage project costs by submitting accurate field documentation, receipts, and reports on time.
- When not assigned to field work, perform welding and fabrication tasks in the shop to maintain steady hours and continuous employment.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measurements, and fabrication drawings.
- Prior leadership, crew coordination, or field supervision experience.
- AWS 6G MIG aluminum welding certification (preferred).
- Willingness to participate in OSHA 30 training (required).
- Forklift/man-lift operator training certification.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record (required).
- Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time, often to remote power plants and industrial job sites.
- The ability to use basic technology and software, including Tablets, laptops, and Microsoft Office Products.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; stand, walk, kneel, climb, and lift to 50 lbs. regularly.
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
