FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Position
Perform machine installation, preventive maintenance & training at the customer site.
Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose & resolve customer/equipment issues.
Maintain a high degree of professional customer service for all customer interactions.
Traveling up to 70% of the time by flight/car (for international travel a passport is required).
When not traveling, provide technical remote support to customers.
Attend shows and exhibitions if required, as technical support for installation of machines.
Requirements
- Educational And Skills Requirements:
- Associate degree, certification, trade school diploma or equivalent experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation/Automotive (mechatronics).
- High school diploma required.
- 2+ years of hands-on electromechanical maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of working knowledge of modern CNC machinery.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic components and power tools in the CNC industry.
- Ability to learn and understand mechatronics systems.
- Ability to read blueprints & schematic diagrams, knowledge of PLC’s and C++ concepts.
- Physical Requirements:
- Requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 10 pounds, recurrent lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 50 or more pounds.
- Also requires constant pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds and occasional pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices.
- Other Information:
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not required for this position.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company standards for vehicle insurance eligibility.
