Field Service Technician
About the role
In this role, you will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nitrogen producing plants at customer sites. You will solve field site issues and operate air separation plants with minimal supervision. Interact with customers across various production plant types, providing guidance, support, and clear communication. Maintain safety, quality, and compliance activities to uphold high standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on compressors, gas analyzers, and control systems
- Manage time effectively to complete operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnosing plant problems
- Coordinate contractors and resources to support plant activities, audits, and administrative requirements
- Drive efficiency through strategic planning and project management, ensuring smooth plant operations
Requirements
- High school diploma with an associate degree in a technical field preferred
- Two to five years of operations experience in air separation or similar process control environments
- Expertise in instrumentation, control, and general maintenance of industrial equipment
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical maintenance, including compressors, with military engineering experience considered an asset
- Strong safety awareness and strict adherence to procedures while troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment
- Understanding of process control schematics and ability to communicate technical information clearly in verbal and written forms
- Utilization of computer skills, including Microsoft applications and process control systems, combined with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Physical requirements: confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in coverage, ensuring a reliable and safety-focused presence during critical operations
- Familiarity with procurement processes and quality control analyzers, thriving in dynamic conditions involving service truck driving, office tasks, and physical activity

Pay
Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $70,000 - $90,000.
