Field Service Technician
You will enjoy doing
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot air separation plants at customer sites while serving as the primary technician for assigned locations with minimal supervision
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and operational standards
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of compressors, gas analyzers, electrical control systems, and pneumatic control valves
- Diagnose and resolve equipment, process, and plant performance issues to maintain reliability and improve efficiency
- Manage daily operations and maintenance activities, including scheduling, documentation, and administrative requirements
- Cook up with contractors and internal/external resources to support plant operations, maintenance activities, and audits
- Build strong customer relationships by providing technical support and maintaining effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance on operational and maintenance projects
- Travel to assigned customer sites and participate in an on-call rotation, remaining available 24 hours a week as needed
- Carry a company cell phone and laptop to ensure immediate responsiveness and uninterrupted plant operations and customer support
What Makes You Great
- Two to five (2–5) years of operations, maintenance, or industrial plant experience required
- Experience in air separation plants or other complex process control environments is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation and control systems, including troubleshooting and calibration
- Background in industrial mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting compressors and other industrial equipment
- HVAC experience is considered a strong plus
- Military engineering experience is highly valued, including roles such as Machinist Mate, Electrician Mate, Gas Turbine Technician, Boiler Technician, Turret Mechanic, or similar technical specialties
- Comfortable performing both field work and administrative/computer-based duties
- Safe working in an industrial environment, including walking on uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at various elevations
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and perform fine motor tasks such as instrumentation calibration
- Able to lift 5–15 lbs. daily, 15–45 lbs. intermittently, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office applications, FIX32/HMI systems, process control systems, maintenance management systems, and compliance documentation
