About us

A well-established, industry-leading manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Technician to join its growing service team. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and traveling to customer locations to install, maintain, and repair industrial packaging equipment. The successful candidate will serve as the face of the company while providing exceptional technical support and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment at customer facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Train customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
• Document service activities and complete detailed service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal support teams.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures.
• Travel regularly to customer sites throughout the assigned territory, with occasional overnight travel.

Requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience servicing industrial machinery or automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in manufacturing environments.

Preferred Experience

• Field service or industrial maintenance experience.
• Packaging, automation, conveyor, or manufacturing equipment experience is highly desirable.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Pay

$30 - $33 per hour
