Field Service Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Technician is a customer-based position that requires a self-directed individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites and communicate directly with customers. A high level of customer service, in-depth project knowledge and experience, and industry-specific technical expertise are necessary for this role. This position involves a high level of travel that may come on little notice, impacting the regular work schedule.

Essential Functions

• Observe and follow all ClimateCraft and job site health and safety rules
• Identify, order, and deliver of warranty and service parts and labor
• Travel to customer job sites to perform warranty and service activities, including support of ClimateCraft and contractor operations
• Use the ClimateCraft Service Request system to document and track customer service activities
• Issue quotations and process parts and service orders
• Participate in the investigation, solution development, and implementation of corrective actions for internal and external problems
• Communicate with customers and vendors in written and verbal form
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate degree preferred
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in the HVAC service industry. Custom air handling experience preferred
• Computer Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
• Other Requirements: Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work Willingness to travel frequently for long periods and on short notice Willingness to work on weekends if required Willingness to work day shift, 2nd shift, or if needed, night shift. Ability to work independently at the job site Written and verbal communication skills
