Field Service Technician

About the role

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll ensure the proper installation and service of Culligan products and systems for residential and commercial customers. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to consult with customers to understand their needs.

Responsibilities

• Install and service water treatment products and systems at customer locations.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Interact with customers professionally and courteously, explaining installation processes and answering questions.
• Provide technical support during and after installations, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
• Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of installed products.
• Provide basic technical guidance to customers and assist in training coworkers.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, troubleshooting steps, and documentation, including photos.
• Operate service vehicles safely, adhering to driver policies and completing required inspections and maintenance.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment in service vehicles.
• Work in various environments, including indoor/outdoor spaces, tight areas (e.g., crawl spaces), and homes with pets.

Work Environment

This role is physically demanding, requiring regular standing, kneeling, bending, crawling, and lifting equipment up to 100 lbs. Technicians travel to customer locations daily but return to the dealership by the end of the shift.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions or limitations.
• At least 18 years old with an acceptable driving record to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle for 8–10 hours daily.
• Pass criminal background check, drug screening, and ongoing screenings as required.
• Physically capable of performing duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and basic power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented with excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and working conditions.
• Commitment to following SOPs and ongoing learning.
