About the role
Gulf States Engineering is a leading provider of water and wastewater treatment equipment serving municipalities and various industrial plants in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and West Tennessee. We specialize in pumps and pump repair services, water and wastewater treatment process equipment, electrical controls, and flow control products.
Responsibilities
- Create reports of the customers serviced each day
- Follow all company procedures
- Demonstrate how to use the equipment
- Troubleshoot any problems customers are experiencing
- Maintain and repair equipment
- Provide equipment recommendations to customers
- Advises customers on the equipment
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience troubleshooting and repairing submersible, centrifugal pumps, and controls (not required but a plus)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of electrical controls and motors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate courteously with customers
- Available to work occasional nights, holidays, and weekends
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
Skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, variable speed drives, PLC, and other equipment
- Knowledge of electrical controls and motors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
