Field Service Technician

About the role

Fives DyAG Corp is seeking a Field Service Technician in the Saginaw, MI area. We are looking for strong machine based knowledge and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills. The right candidate will have a positive attitude and be able to present themselves in a professional manner, communicating confidently with customers and be a team player who works well with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Primarily involves routine and emergency service, advanced troubleshooting, installation of machinery, and training of customers as well as some machine assembly work.
• Up to 75% potential travel throughout North America and on rare occasions internationally. Most trips are 3-5 days in length.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Commit to quality work and detail-oriented excellence.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Prior millwright experience.
• Able to start up and commission new machines and doing test runs with the customer.
• A proven history of strong mechanical experience.
• Complete service and expense reports and manage administrative tasks.
• Initiative and drive to grow within the company.
• Contribute new ideas, designs and methods.
• Perform engineering level analysis and employ advanced troubleshooting techniques including redesign of machine components and programming changes.
• Read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• PLC, machine control, and ladder logic experience is ideal.
• Communication savvy - computer, phone, and internet.
• Perform engineering level analysis and employ advanced troubleshooting techniques including redesign of machine components and programming changes.
