Essential Functions
- Reads work order and observes truck in operation to diagnose problems.
- Offers solutions to meet customer specifications and provides estimates when necessary.
- Makes mechanical repairs after a complete inspection and analysis of the breakdown.
- Records repair description on work order, including equipment model and serial number, and records the hour meter reading.
- Communicates with customers regarding repair needs or work completed.
- Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks and makes adjustments.
- Lubricates moving parts and drives the repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications.
- Represents Equipment Depot to customers.
- Maintains a professional image and cleanliness of the van.
- Tracks and schedules routine maintenance or service-related issues with operations or service manager.
- Works in a manner that protects customers, Equipment Depot, and the public.
- Returns paperwork to field service coordinator daily, including work orders, fuel receipts, sublet invoices, etc.
- Sets and submits time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily. Calls in time if dispatched from home over the telephone by 9:00 a.m. daily.
