Job Summary

EAM-Mosca Corp., a market leader in end-of-line automated packaging machinery and consumable strapping solutions, seeks a Field Service Technician for the Lancaster/Harrisburg region. The position involves installing, commissioning, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating field equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and providing high-level customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain field equipment to ensure reliability and high customer satisfaction.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, emergency repairs on all EAM equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using systematic thinking and test equipment.
  • Work closely with Mosca Engineering to provide top-tier customer service.
  • Generate detailed service reports explaining work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions needed.
  • Communicate with area service managers to develop schedules and travel itineraries.
  • Work with urgency but maintain composure to deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of machines and their systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, levers, channels, pulleys, cams, and camshafts.
  • Basic experience with control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, and B&R PLCs.
  • Electromechanical experience with conveyance systems, understanding of sensors, electric motors, and their interaction.
  • Able to use a multimeter, perform point-to-point testing, read electrical schematics, and trace issues.
  • Able to use and read calipers and micrometers.
  • Able to take initiative and work independently.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally through various media: web-based service reporting, video conferencing, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Able to travel extensively within the U.S. (80%)

Skills

  • Advance understanding of machines and their systems.

  • In-house training with continuous on-the-job field training with senior field staff.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum 3 years of field or plant equipment maintenance experience.
  • Corrugated Industry experience a plus.
  • Mechanical understanding of strapping machines, Mosca preferred.
  • High school diploma.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Solid Mechanical / Electrical background.
  • PLC experience preferred.
  • Associates Degree a plus.
