Field Service Technician
Responsibilities
- Install, commission equipment ensuring reliability and high customer satisfaction.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Resolve mechanical and electrical issues using test equipment and hand tools.
- Collaborate with Mosca Engineering for top-tier customer service.
- Generate detailed service reports explaining work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions.
- Develop and adhere to travel schedules and itineraries to meet customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with area service managers and customers.
Requirements
- Advanced understanding of machines and systems including pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, levers, channels, pulleys, cams, and camshafts.
- Basic experience with control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, and B&R PLCs.
- Electromechanical experience with conveyance systems, understanding of sensors, electric motors, and their interaction.
- Ability to use a multimeter, perform point-to-point testing, read electrical schematics, and trace circuits.
- Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, including web-based service reporting, video conferencing, and face-to-face interactions.
- Extensive travel within the U.S. (Monday through Friday, 80% of time).
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of field or plant equipment maintenance experience.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- Corrugated industry experience a plus.
- Mechanical understanding of strapping machines, preferably Mosca.
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver's license.
- Solid mechanical and electrical background.
- Preferred PLC experience.
- Associates degree in relevant field.
