Field Service Technician

Job Summary

EAM-Mosca Corp., a market leader in end-of-line automated packaging machinery and consumable strapping solutions, is seeking a Field Service Technician for the St. Louis, MO region.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain field equipment to ensure reliability and high customer satisfaction.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, and emergency repairs on all EAM equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using systematic thinking and test equipment.
• Work closely with engineering to provide top-tier customer service.
• Generate detailed service reports explaining work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions.
• Communicate with area service managers to develop and manage travel schedules and itineraries.
• Operate with urgency and composure to maintain high levels of customer service.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of machine systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, levers, channels, pulleys, cams, and camshafts.
• Basic experience with control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, and B&R PLCs.
• Electromechanical expertise with conveyance systems, understanding of sensors, electric motors, and their interactions.
• Ability to use a multimeter, perform point-to-point testing, and read electrical schematics.
• Able to use calipers and micrometers.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including web-based service reporting, video conferencing, and face-to-face interactions.
• Extensive travel within the U.S. (80%)
• In-house training and continuous on-the-job field training with senior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field or plant equipment maintenance experience.
• Corrugated industry experience is a plus.
• Mechanical understanding of strapping machines, with preference given to Mosca.
• High school diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Solid mechanical and electrical background.
• Preferred PLC experience.
• Associates degree.
