Job Responsibilities
- 50% plus traveling to sites in-state and Northern Illinois.
- Sometimes overnight travel stays when required.
- Ability to drive several hours to customer sites.
- On-site service work may include, but is not limited to, installation, setup, testing, routine maintenance, optimizing performance, troubleshooting, repairs, modification, or training of customer personnel.
- Home shop service work may include, but is not limited to, maintaining shop equipment, vehicle maintenance, warehouse automation, valve automation and repair, testing, providing technical support to customers and staff.
- Responding to customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
- Capturing customer information for project record keeping.
- Preparing service call reports.
- Logging customer calls and activity and tracking all expenses incurred in the delivery of services.
Basic Qualifications
- High mechanical aptitude.
- General knowledge of electrical circuitry.
- Valve repair/automation experience is a plus.
- Strong communications skills to be able to clearly and concisely talk with customers.
- Be able to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lb. without assistance.
- Be able to bend, squat, stand, reach, climb ladders, and work with your hands.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to schedule and prioritize duties.
- Be able to think on the fly in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to problem solve independently.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (ie. Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High School Diploma.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be honest, respectful, have sound work ethics, and possess a positive attitude.
