Field Service Technician

About the Role

We are seeking knowledgeable, customer-focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join the Crown team. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Crown and other makes of lift trucks, performing planned maintenance, and maintaining a service van and its inventory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
• Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
• Maintain a service van and its inventory.
• Process paperwork after completion of each job.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
• Less than 2 years of related experience (entry-level role).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, with knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair experience, welding experience, or knowledge of testing equipment.
• Familiarity with tools such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and testing equipment.
• Industry-related training and ability to read/understand service manuals.
