Field Service Technician
About the Role
Our client has a brand-new opportunity for a qualified Field Service Technician to provide onsite technical support in Fayetteville, AR and surrounding areas. This role will support multiple store locations and requires consistent daily travel throughout the assigned route.
Route Locations: Fort Smith, AR | Van Buren, AR | Fayetteville, AR | Tahlequah, OK | Muskogee, OK
The candidate shall be a self-starter with exceptional customer service proficiencies and the ability to use communication as an expansive tool to achieve an excellent customer experience. The candidate must conduct their efforts in a professional, businesslike manner, effectively communicate, and provide continuous quality in their daily task achievements. The candidate will be self-motivated, with the capability to complete projects ahead of schedule.
Candidates selected to interview must participate in live, on-camera video interviews for identity verification and assessment purposes. Interviews will be recorded where permitted by law. Participation and consent to applicable recording requirements are required to continue in the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Support clients' IT/Data problem tasks, provide prompt action, and deliver support and resolution for daily technical requirements.
- Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts.
- Manage triage, troubleshooting, and resolution to client scope on IT equipment.
- Occasionally work at heights of 20' to 25' (lift equipment training provided).
- Document efforts, issues, and resolutions; close cases/tickets daily.
- Make in-field decisions for a positive result.
- Consistently track and monitor issues, providing notes and feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of IT technical support experience.
- A+ CompTIA certification required.
- Technical hardware experience required.
- Net+ CompTIA certification is a plus.
- Field service experience preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building competence.
- Excellent time management and reporting skills.
- Familiar with various operating systems (e.g., Windows OS, OSX, Linux/Unix).
- Experience desired in copper and fiber cabling and various terminating connectors.
- Proficient communicator with emotional intelligence insight for explaining IT terminologies at the client's level of understanding.
- Insight into POS, PC, Printers, Thin Clients, APs, Servers, and Network switch equipment.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
Pay
The rate for this position is up to $22.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
