About the role

We're looking for a motivated Field Service Technician to help install, maintain, repair, and support fuel storage systems and related equipment at customer locations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel storage tanks, pumps, meters, monitoring systems, and related equipment
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on customer fueling equipment
- Clean, prepare, and paint fuel tanks and equipment as needed
- Assist with fuel tank repairs, upgrades, relocations, and removals
- Diagnose equipment issues and recommend solutions to customers
- Train customers on the proper operation and maintenance of their equipment
- Complete service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation
- Follow all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and customer site requirements
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Al Warren Oil positively at all customer locations
- Work closely with operations, sales, and dispatch teams to ensure exceptional customer service
- Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and safe condition
Requirements
- Required High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B) with Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain Tanker Endorsement within a specified timeframe
- Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
Preferred Experience
- With fuel tanks, pumps, meters, fuel monitoring systems, or petroleum equipment
- Experience operating medium-duty commercial vehicles
- Basic electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, or industrial maintenance experience
- OSHA, Hazwoper, or related safety certifications
- Experience working in the petroleum, construction, fleet fueling, or industrial services industries
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Ability to work at customer sites, construction locations, and industrial facilities
