Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating equipment to potential customers.
• Installing new or modified equipment at customer’s facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
• Aiding in the training of new operators at customer sites.
• Providing on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot, repair, and adjust equipment.
• Evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Attending trade shows which may include assembling and disassembling equipment.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required, an Associate Degree preferred.
• Minimum of four years of construction equipment related service experience preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude.
• Mechanical knowledge – Hydraulics, Electronics, Pneumatics, Transfer Pumps, High Pressure Pumps, Pressurized Vessels, Burners, Furnaces.
• Willingness to travel (up to 95%) throughout the United States and Canada Includes flying and driving.
• Excel in customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
• Reach with hands and arms and talk or hear;
• Frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
• Must regularly/frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and infrequently/occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques;
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and adverse outside weather conditions.
