Field Service Technician (Appliance Repair) - Washington DC (Ashburn, Sterling, Fairfax. Chantilly)

About the role

LG Electronics is seeking a Field Service Technician (DMST) to join our Customer Service team in the Washington DC metro area. This role requires coverage in the greater Washington DC and surrounding areas including Ashburn, Sterling, Fairfax, McLean, and Chantilly. You will deliver an exceptional customer experience while servicing LG products in customers' homes, diagnosing and repairing major appliances, TVs, and A/C units, managing inventory, and performing administrative tasks. Our technicians represent LG and must uphold the professionalism our customers expect.

Responsibilities

• Travel offsite to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG's equipment to ensure top product performance
• Properly use all safety equipment (PPE), vehicle, and diagnostic tools provided by LG
• Conduct technical diagnosis and perform specialized repairs on a variety of electronics and home appliances
• Diagnose problems, assess the extent of the issue, document findings, and make decisions to repair products and/or replace parts
• Process paperwork and perform data entry immediately and accurately upon completion of each job
• Pre-screen next day service calls by obtaining necessary information to help diagnose problems prior to arriving at customers' homes
• Meet or exceed company metrics including customer satisfaction, fix right first time, revisits, parts management, and OT percentage

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role (appliance repair preferred)
• Experience repairing major appliances including refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, and cleaning products
• Experience using tools and diagnostic test equipment
• Ability to properly troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product/system issues
• Valid Driver's license in good standing
• Ability to obtain appropriate EPA Certification
• Meet physical requirements associated with field service repair including continuous bending and lifting up to 50 pounds

Pay

$29.25—$33.75 per hour (recruiting range)
