Field Service Technician (Appliance Repair) - New Orleans, LA

About the Role

We are seeking a Field Service Technician (DMST) to join our dynamic Customer Service team in the New Orleans, LA metro area. In this role, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience while servicing LG products in customers' homes. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing major appliances, TVs, and A/C units, managing inventory, and performing administrative tasks. Our technicians represent LG with professionalism and are expected to uphold the high standards our customers expect.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG's equipment, ensuring top product performance.
• Properly use all safety equipment (PPE), vehicle, and diagnostic tools provided by LG.
• Conduct technical diagnosis and perform specialized repairs on a variety of electronics and home appliances.
• Diagnose problems, assess the extent of issues, document findings, and make decisions to repair products or replace parts.
• Immediately and accurately process paperwork and perform data entry upon completion of each job.
• Pre-screen next-day service calls by obtaining necessary information to help diagnose problems before arriving at the customer's home.
• Meet or exceed company metrics, including customer satisfaction, first-time fix rate, revisits, parts management, and overtime percentage.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical role (Field Service preferred).
• Experience repairing major appliances (refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, cleaning products).
• Experience using tools and diagnostic test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product/system issues.
• Valid Driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain appropriate EPA Certification.
• Meet physical requirements associated with field service repair, including continuous bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Recruiting range: $24.25—$28.25 USD per hour.
