Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair ag equipment from application, tillage, planting to harvest equipment at the customer’s location.
- Uses a high degree of independent judgment to repair a variety of complex equipment and tools, which involve mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systems.
- Works safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards.
- Responds to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
- Works collaboratively and assists other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs.
- Documents work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; identifies and communicates the need for parts for inventory.
Qualifications
- 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
- 3+ years of relevant diesel equipment repair experience, preferably some field experience.
- Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus.
- Ability to write and communicate effectively, interact with supervisors, customers, and team members.
- Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems.
- Own mechanic tool set.
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment including service truck.
- Willing and able to respond to after-hour emergency calls as directed by the supervisor.

Pay and Schedule
- The pay range for this position is $38.00 to $51.00.
- Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location.
- Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location.
