Job Summary

Our client, a leading healthcare technology organization, is seeking a Field Service Technical Assistant to join their Service Operations Excellence team. This is a 12-month contract located in Indianola, PA, requiring a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will serve as a key technical resource supporting Field Service Engineers through device configuration, hardware and software troubleshooting, IT infrastructure support, licensing administration, and user onboarding. You'll collaborate across IT, Software Engineering, Training, and Technical Support teams to maintain critical systems, improve operational processes, and ensure field teams have the tools they need to successfully support customers. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues for Field Service Engineers, including device replacement and deployment
  • Support enterprise IT projects by assisting with software deployments, testing, troubleshooting, and post-implementation issue resolution
  • Manage software licensing and user provisioning activities, including administration of HASP keys and related licensing systems
  • Configure, image, and prepare laptops, USB devices, mobile applications, and technical equipment for field personnel and training programs
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities by provisioning devices, accounts, licenses, and technical resources
  • Afford remote application support, user account management, and technical documentation across multiple enterprise platforms
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational processes and provide technical support for field service, training, and internal IT initiatives

Required Skills / Experience (Must-Haves)

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and Windows-based systems in an enterprise environment
  • Strong technical aptitude supporting device setup, configuration, deployment, and user provisioning
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure, remote users, or field service organizations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to troubleshoot and de-escalate technical issues
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise business systems
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills / Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience with ServiceMax, Salesforce, or other service management platforms
  • Experience supporting remote support applications and mobile devices (iOS/Android)
  • Familiarity with software licensing administration and user access management
  • Experience supporting onboarding, technical training, and equipment deployment
  • Experience with PTC ThingWorx or similar remote support technologies
  • Experience working in healthcare, medical device, or other regulated environments
  • Experience supporting cross-functional IT or technical operations teams

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $19.00 and $28.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
