Field Service Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, test, and troubleshoot air pollution control products and equipment such as wet & dry ESP’s, fabric filters, scrubbers, etc.
• Provide assistance to customers in choosing appropriate B&W products for performance improvement when applicable.
• Perform field service operations that may involve testing and verifying equipment and addressing unusual problems requiring strong technical skills.
• Write detailed reports of problems encountered, tests performed, and work completed.
• Aid in planning and coordinating team efforts.
• Support Sales efforts, including assisting in presentations when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or 4 to 6 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Spanish language proficiency a plus.

• Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks and effectively manage time to coordinate multiple jobs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems.
• Adaptable to a changing work environment and able to cope with delays or unexpected events.
