Field Service Tech III

Senior-level role focused on major wind-turbine component exchanges, complex troubleshooting, and on-site team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead major component exchanges, including high-level mechanical and electrical systems such as gearboxes, generators, and other critical components.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on wind turbines.
• Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed; provide leadership on jobsites.
• Supervise and train junior technicians (Field Service Technicians I and II) and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Review and ensure all service work is completed with efficiency and precision.
• Prepare and review detailed service reports, including assessments of turbine health and parts performance.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure service schedules and timelines are met.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or wind turbine technology preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with wind turbine maintenance, repairs, and component exchange.
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams and mentor technicians.
• Commitment to proactive safety culture, with a focus on zero-harm practices.
• Required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on service excellence.

Working Environment

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

$35.00 - $39.50 hourly.
