Field Service Tech I - Street

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Field Services Tech I in the Street Department. The incumbent operates equipment such as trucks, tractors, and mowers and uses a variety of power and hand tools in maintaining City streets, culverts, right-of-way, storm sewers, and other public property.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment such as trucks, tractors, and mowers
• Uses a variety of power and hand tools
• Maintains City streets, culverts, right-of-way, storm sewers, and other public property
• Trains in preparation to test for and obtain an OK Commercial Class "B" license with Air Brakes endorsement
• Eligible to reclassify to a Street Equipment Operator I upon receipt of this license

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Previous experience with street and mowing equipment, including tractor, mower, and backhoe is desired
• Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable
• Must be at least 18 years old

Qualifications

• Entry-level position
• Eligible to reclassify to a Street Equipment Operator I upon obtaining an OK Commercial Class "B" license with Air Brakes endorsement

Skills

• Knowledge of street and mowing equipment operation
• Ability to operate various power and hand tools
• Ability to maintain public property

Benefits

• Starting Salary: $17.7935/hr with benefits
