About the Role
We are actively seeking an entry-level Field Service Technician to represent an industry leader, Canon Solutions America. In this role, you will be the face of the organization, providing excellent customer service, troubleshooting product issues, and performing routine maintenance on Canon-supported products. Important Schedule Details
Note: Flexibility is a strict requirement for this role.
- Initial Training Phase: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday).
- Post-Training Shift Schedule: Once training is complete, you will be transitioned to one of four shifts based on team needs (which includes both day and night rotations). You must be able to work in a 24x7 environment and accommodate on-call rotations.
- Rotation Option 1: Sunday – Wednesday (Three 11-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift. Front half days and nights).
- Rotation Option 2: Wednesday – Saturday (Three 11-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift. Back half days and nights).
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate maintenance in the shop, in the field, and on-site to meet customer demands.
- Perform routine maintenance and assist with new equipment installations according to documented standards.
- Troubleshoot product problems, respond to customer inquiries, and escalate unresolved issues following standard procedures.
- Maintain accurate technical information, Field Service Reports (FSRs), expense reports, and all assigned Canon property.
- Report product failure trends and serviceability issues to management with supporting documentation.
- Ensure machine performance targets are consistently met to help achieve overall district metrics.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Less than 1 year of related experience (Entry-level candidates are highly encouraged to apply).
- Basic understanding of internet environments and networking.
- Driving Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and be comfortable with some local travel.
- Clearance: Must be willing and able to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter their premises.
- Successful completion of the 120-day introductory period and PDIF new hire class.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires highly mobile activity for more than 50% of the day (including walking, standing, stooping, and kneeling).
Pay
$22/Hr. on W2
