Primary Responsibility
This position is responsible for leading and managing a team of Field Service technicians to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of existing equipment, commissioning of new equipment, and telephone customer support.
What You'll Do
- Proven experience as a supervisor leading multiple Field Service Technicians in a technical field
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and other departments to improve processes and productivity
- Provide telephone support to customers and MIRATECH Field Service Technicians including troubleshooting and replacement parts identification
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Commission and service MIRATECH equipment if needed to maintain customer schedule
- Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding new Field Service Technicians
- Identify training needs and implement skill development programs for Field Service Technicians
- Follow up customer calls after service work completion
- Keep up to date on company products, services, and procedures
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Cook up to date on company products, services, and procedures
- Coordinate with Field Service Manager to assign tasks, schedule work, and manage team's workload effectively
- Maintain test equipment and special tools calibration
What Qualifies You
- Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation & controls including analog transmitters, temperature/pressure measuring devices, PID controls
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and work in a loosely structured environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods
- Work on uneven terrain, scaffolds, ladders, catwalks, and elevated platforms
- Maintain physical stamina during physically and mentally demanding tasks, including travel and variable shift work
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials and tools up to 50 lbs unassisted and occasionally heavier items with assistance or mechanical aids
- Transport tools and equipment across job sites and within confined or restricted-access areas
- Perform tasks at elevations exceeding 6 feet, using aerial lifts, scaffolding, or fall protection systems in accordance with OSHA standards
- Enter, work in, and exit confined spaces, including tanks, ducts, and engine compartments, under permit-required confined space procedures
- Maintain situational awareness around active machinery and energized systems
- Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) and around loud noise, dust, fumes, vibration, and engine exhaust
- Maintain clear vision (corrective lenses permitted), color recognition, and depth perception
- Detect abnormal sounds, smells, or vibrations from mechanical equipment
- Follow complex instructions, interpret technical drawings/manuals, and communicate hazards and tasks clearly with team members
