Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor field technicians and installers performing AC and DC critical power installations.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to team members working with power plants, transformers, UPS systems, battery systems, and backup generators.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence within the field team.
- Monitor crew performance and ensure work is completed in accordance with company and customer standards.
- Provide oversight and coordination of external partners, subcontractors, and service vendors operating within the supervisor’s area of responsibility to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer standards.
Installation & Technical Oversight
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to guide installation activities.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of critical power systems and supporting electrical infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on technical support during complex installations or troubleshooting situations.
Project Coordination
- Plan and coordinate daily field activities, ensuring proper staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage on-site logistics including materials, equipment, and installation tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA standards, electrical safety requirements, and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular job-site safety inspections and lead daily safety briefings or toolbox talks.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, including NEC standards.
Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting
- Inspect installed equipment and systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with quality standards.
- Diagnose installation or operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed documentation related to installations, testing results, and service activities.
