About the role

The Field Service Specialist I will provide specialized repair and maintenance services for diagnostic imaging (radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.) and biomedical equipment. This role expands on FSS I duties, focusing on intermediate imaging equipment like DR, basic CT/CT Sim, oncology, and Vascular/Specials.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily repairs and maintains intermediate imaging equipment such as X-Ray units, Portable X-Ray units, Fluoroscopy Systems, CR Units, and Mammography units
  • Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and finished
  • Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the most cost-effective maintenance of medical imaging equipment
  • Provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis and other duties as assigned
  • Repairs and maintains medical equipment under contract and performs general biomedical duties and functions as required
  • Provides input to the CE Manager regarding new service opportunities within a location serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education upon hire
  • Graduate of technical program upon hire
  • Training validated through training certificates upon hire
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment upon hire
  • Driver's License: CA (AUTO:CA) upon hire required

Pay

The posted compensation range is $39.27 - $58.42 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

This role is full-time with 80 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is no remote work option.
