Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
- Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
- Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
- Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
- Enter and complete work orders, purchase orders and PM Plans in Salesforce
- Daily timekeeping in Kronos
- Complete and submit expense reports
- Respond to system trouble calls and troubleshoot and restore system operation in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Knowledge of water treatment systems and technologies such as media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF)
- High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience, Pipe fitting) or equivalent in an industrial environment
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Willingness and ability to respond to after hours call-outs in 2 hours or less
- Current Driver’s License
- Able to maintain Site access
- Forklift Experience/Training or able to certified 100% travel (training/other site visits)
- Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical or power, generation plants (preferred)
- Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment
- Working with chemicals for water treatment
- Working with corrosive chemicals used for Membrane cleaning operations (preferred)
Additional Information
Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: Hourly $22.60 - $37.26 USD
