About the role

Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently. Performs full range of on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and customer call assistance on assigned products (KM MFP and printers & Non-KM printers HP, Lexmark, etc.). Assembles and disassembles equipment, configures and troubleshoots networking issues (Printing and Scanning) on Windows/MAC OS, loads print drivers, clones files, transfers address books, and performs firmware upgrades. Manages territory work volume and maintains high levels of customer communication and satisfaction. Occasionally travels outside the local area for training.

Communicates with management on customer or field issues. Successfully completes training classes and effectively services assigned products, requesting assistance when necessary to meet customer demands. Follows proper call handling procedures while maintaining minimum required productivity measures by our internal program (core metrics).

Shows measurable progress in technical abilities, troubleshooting techniques, and overall productivity. Uses current technology and company issued assets (Laptops, Cell phone, etc.) to access part books, service manuals, bulletins, and other service literature and develops familiarity with contents. Maintains accurate ASL truck inventory for designated territory. Trains customers on basic printing, scanning, copying functions. Accurately and timely completes weekly timesheets and expense reports. Provides sales support as required (advising sales on problems accounts, service leads).

Responsibilities

  • Possess electrical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiar with printing from common business applications and graphics programs.
  • Microsoft OS peer to peer and MAC OS client side of server environments.
  • Excellent time management skills and capable of prioritizing activities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Teamwork; works well with others.
  • Understands territory parts budget and inventory control.
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Assists in creating equipment deployment guides.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, teach, and train co-workers.
  • Solid understanding of networking and graphic software.
  • Capable of conveying technical data in simple terms to customers and sales personnel.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Quark, Publisher.

Qualifications

  • Pass background, security and drug test.
  • Requires Konica Minolta Internal Certifications: On Outward Associate, Outward Professional, Outward Expert - Office Solutions, Outward Expert - Network, Outward Expert - Color, KMBS Controller (Emperon).
  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED required, Technical School training preferred.
  • 4+ years experience related to technical/repair of business equipment.
  • Certified on N+ or equivalent.
  • Additional IT certifications or training are a plus.
