The Field Service Manager position is located in Camp Hill, PA and offers a salary range of $135,000 - $170,000 plus a performance bonus. The role requires 5-10 years of field service leadership experience in industrial or service-based environments, preferably with a BS in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, or a related field. Essential duties include recruiting, training, and mentoring new technicians, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, overseeing equipment installations and removals, coordinating after-hours and on-call service coverage, and providing leadership during urgent response situations.

About the Role

This is a new role within an industrial service company that serves essential industries such as energy, manufacturing, water treatment, and infrastructure. The company is expanding rapidly to meet growing demand across North America, particularly along the East Coast. The Field Service Manager will lead a team in delivering top-tier service in the field, covering everything from motor and pump repair to automation and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and mentor new technicians to support the team's rapid growth and expanding service demands.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues involving motors, pumps, controls, piping, and valves.
  • Oversee and assist with the installation and removal of new or serviced equipment as needed.
  • Cook up and assist with the coordination of after-hours and on-call service coverage, providing leadership during urgent response situations.

Requirements

  • Absolutely hands-on experience with electric motor installation, service, and repair.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including motor controls, MCCs, VFDs, and basic power distribution.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and controls, such as sensors, transmitters, PLC interfaces, and control panels.
  • Experience supporting process equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, piping, and related systems.
  • Proficiency with testing and diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, vibration analysis tools, thermal cameras, and pressure testers.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to make an immediate operational impact.
  • Excellent customer-facing experience with strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the East Coast.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, or related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with electric motor installation, service, and repair.
  • Experience working with industrial mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, conveyors, and other rotating assets.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including motor controls, MCCs, VFDs, and basic power distribution.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and controls, such as sensors, transmitters, PLC interfaces, and control panels.
  • Experience supporting process equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, piping, and related systems.
  • Proficiency with testing and diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, vibration analysis tools, thermal cameras, and pressure testers.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to make an immediate operational impact.
