Field Service Manager

This role oversees the operations and performance of Field Service Technicians, supports customer relations and retention, and assists with recruiting, development, and evaluation of service technicians. The territory covers Everett, WA up to the Canadian border.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Field Service Technicians (25%‑35%): Direct and supervise Lead Technicians and Field Service Technicians; train, motivate, and counsel them; review paperwork and timecards; participate in recruiting and interviewing; recommend technician compensation; collaborate with personnel and service manager on disciplinary actions and terminations; perform employee performance evaluations.
• Customer Retention and New Service Business (25%‑35%): Maintain direct contact with current or prospective customers at end‑user locations; provide maintenance cost reports; handle customer service complaints and issues; maintain good customer relations; pursue new business through cold calls, service presentations, and follow‑up on leads.
• Administrative Tasks (20%‑30%): Administer company goals and policies via monthly service meetings; maintain paper flow, records, and reports; prepare repair quotes, presentations, and reports; coordinate factory service requests, tests, and field modifications; work with accounts payable on past‑due service accounts; process paperwork for workers’ compensation injuries and service van accidents; oversee maintenance of service vans, tools, and equipment; work weekends and evenings as needed to meet deadlines; perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage employees in the Service Department.
• Train employees, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Appraise performance, address complaints, and resolve problems.

Pay

Starting salary: $90,000‑$100,000 plus commission.
