Direct-hire position based in Bloomington, MN.
About the role
Lead the installation of specialized equipment at hospitals, military facilities, research laboratories, and other critical environments across the United States. This role is ideal for someone with an HVAC, construction, mechanical, or carpentry background who is comfortable leading installation crews, coordinating with project managers, and representing the company on customer job sites.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. to oversee equipment installations.
- Lead and train installation crews to ensure projects are completed safely and correctly.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers throughout the installation process.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and installation documents.
- Resolve field issues, answer technical questions, and keep projects moving forward.
- Perform system inspections, testing, and commissioning upon project completion.
- Complete installation reports and communicate project updates to internal teams.
- Provide post-installation support and troubleshoot field issues as needed.
- Serve as the technical expert and company representative during customer meetings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC, construction, mechanical installation, carpentry, or a related field.
- Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable leading discussions with contractors, project managers, and customers.
- Experience working on active construction sites.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 60% nationwide (10–15 days per month).
- Ability to pass a background check.
Pay
$70,000–$90,000 per year plus per diem.
